That's it? He is correct, it is not significant. Actually I'm not even sure that tiny amount is even measurable globally. Or attributable to human activity. Amazing.

It is the same as when they told us we should eat margarine instead of butter, that dairy was all bad for us. Kill us even. Dead set!!
Now its not about olive oil it's all about 'is it hot or cold' - heat waves here and record ice over there.

I suspect that what they don't understand is the concept of statistical significance. This isn't uncommon in journalists with no education in science.
