Can journalists please stop using "devoted their lives" analogies for reinforcing their side of a story, it is lame and immediately shows the desperation of the journalist to lend credibility to a weak story.

Global warming scaremongering has had few positive benefits but this is certainly one of them. Whenever a journalist or columnist has a bad news day (or in some instance, a bad hair day) they are always able to generate a new headline out of nonsense like this to fill a blank corner of the rag. If this is a sample of the best they can do though, it's sad really.
